Billionaire Wealth Isn't Real & We're Taking Them Down
Let’s start with the truth: a billionaire’s wealth is a goddamn illusion. They don’t have insane vaults filled with gold and coins in their basements. Their wealth lives in stocks, investments, and the bloated value of their companies. Essentially, the value that we give them through consumerism. When people stop buying into their bullshit, that wealth evaporates. Poof.
Look at Elon Musk. Once worth over $320 billion, Musk has now lost $126 billion this year alone as Tesla’s stock tanked — a direct result of public backlash and his own arrogant, erratic behavior (Source). This isn’t because Musk spent his cash — it’s because people stopped believing in him. His wealth was never real. It was a mirage built on public perception, and now that perception is burning.
Let’s not forget how Musk bankrolled his chaotic $44 billion purchase of X (formerly Twitter). He didn’t pull out a checkbook. He had to sell $8.5 billion worth of Tesla shares to fund it (Source). He leveraged his own empire to buy a social platform that’s circling the drain. And now, with Tesla’s value tanking and X becoming a dumpster fire, Musk’s once-smug grin has been replaced with visible panic. He looks less like a "tech genius" and more like a man watching his castle crumble.
Here’s the bottom line: billionaires and corrupt politicians need us to keep their fortunes afloat. They rely on consumers, on workers, on our money and attention. They need us far more than we need them. Collectively, we’ve been telling Elon Musk to fuck off by boycotting Teslas. His plummeting net worth is living proof that when we stand up and say enough, billionaires fall.
But let’s take this a step further. Why did Musk suddenly parade around with Donald Trump in a pathetic spectacle that looked more like a bad car dealership ad than a White House event? Musk doesn’t make public moves without an agenda, especially not when he’s bleeding billions. It's all about money.
Here’s my theory: Musk promised money or favors to powerful world leaders. Now with his fortune evaporating, he can’t deliver on those promises. He’s desperate and he needs cash to pay off and cover whatever deals he’s locked into. And if he can’t? The fallout could be unprecedented. What deals were struck on the assumption that Musk’s empire would never fall? What happens when those deals collapse with him?
On the other hand, let’s not pretend Elon's co-conspirator, President Trump, is innocent in this mess. This wouldn’t be the first time Trump needed foreign cash to keep his empire from collapsing. Russian money has bailed Trump out of financial ruin before when no American bank would touch him (Source). What if Musk and Trump are now tangled in the same web of obligations to powerful figures — and neither of them can pay up?
Musk’s recent behavior only fuels this speculation. He’s been holding private meetings with Republican lawmakers, reportedly using the same defense as musical artist, Shaggy, by claiming “it wasn’t me” when confronted about the mess at X, the firings, rehirings, and the absurd DOGE stunts. To top it off, his SpaceX Starship rocket exploded just minutes after launch on March 6th, adding to his mounting list of failures. He’s not looking so untouchable now, is he? Musk is falling, and the rest of the billionaire class is next. Let’s bring the whole corrupt system crashing down… one dollar withheld at a time.
We hold the power, and it’s time to remind the world of that because there’s more to life than consumerism. We weren’t meant to only work, consume, and die, and we sure as hell weren’t born to make billionaires richer. Let’s build a world where we live on our own terms... not theirs. Together, we can make a difference. Keep the pressure on. Continue boycotting. Keep hitting billionaires where it hurts them the most: their wallets. Let’s grow our own gardens for food and herbs, and support local farmers. Let’s only spend our money with small businesses that share our values. The revolution doesn’t need either Trump, Elon Musk, or any other billionare's permission. Let’s burn their empires to the ground and build something better... COMMUNITY.
